Operators are being disconnected

This article will detail the solutions for the following issues:

• If your chat icon goes "Offline" even when your operator console says it is "Online"
• If your chat sessions get disconnected and you receive "Party has left" message even when the party is still in the chat

Editing the system.php file

Although most likely this problem is mostly a connection issue (ISP temporarily going down or the computer currently has lots of internet intense applications open), PHP Live! does have timeout values you can set that triggers session events.

1. Login or FTP to your server and access your PHP Live! directory
2. You will see a file system.php in the root directory of phplive/
3. Edit the file and modify the following settings as you see fit:

• $admin_idle_value - increase this value if your chat icons goes offline even when operators seem online
  
• $CHAT_TIMEOUT - increase this value if you continually have dropped chats
